wins and a 1-2 in Pau!

                  On
Saturday and Sunday (May 7th & 8th), the fourth round
of the F3Euroseries championship was held through the streets
of Pau in France. The ASM team performed fantastically over
the course of the weekend, with Lewis Hamilton claiming both
                    wins.
                  Hamilton
and teammate Adrian Sutil secured pole positions, and despite
a regrettable retirement from Sutil on Saturday, the team
dominated the event from start to finish. Hamilton is now
in the lead of the championship with 37 points, 11 ahead of
second placed James Rossiter, whereas Adrian is 4th with 16
                    points.

                  Pau
was an almost perfect weekend! The entire ASM team and its
partners are delighted, as we have shown a great level of
performance on the difficult street circuit of Pau in previous
years without collecting the fruits of our work in the race.
We therefore take some sweet revenge this weekend. In addition
to the superb victories from Lewis, Adrian confirmed that
he too is a potential winner, which is very satisfying.

                    Hamilton:
                  What
a great race 1. My biggest problem was to stay focused to
avoid making a mistake at this extremely demanding circuit.
It was crucial that I won the start and entered turn one as
the leader. Afterwards, I was able to control the race.
                  This
has been a fantastic weekend for me. I made a poor start in
race 2, thus offering Adrian the chance of taking the lead.
Hadnt he made his mistake in lap nine it would have
been difficult for me to win the race, as there are nearly
no overtaking opportunities, at Pau. To win three of the first
four rounds of the season is a great result I never expected
                    to achieve
                  Adrian
                    Sutil:
                  It
was a fantastic weekend for the team, Lewis won on Saturday
and the double on Sunday was really great. I was obviously
disappointed on Saturday, as I had secured the first row on
the grid and only completed 200 metres of the race! Basically
what happened was that I started in neutral and by the time
I put it into first gear, the field was coming up and I destroyed
my front right tyre so that was it for me. My starting position
would have guaranteed me a top 2 finish, but I guess I learnt
a lot for the future in this race!
                  On
Sunday things went a lot better. I pulled away right from
the start and managed to stay in the lead for nine laps and
I started to build a good advantage on Lewis who was second.
But then my tyres started deteriorating and I lost a lot of
grip, I made a few mistakes and on the straight I locked my
wheels, so I went for the inside of the first corner to defend
my position. This side of the track was very slippery and
so I spun and touched the barrier with the rear of my car
but fortunately the damage was not too important, it just
added a bit of oversteer. I managed to hold on to my second
position, put in some good lap times, and I am very happy
with this result. I think as a team we dominated the entire
weekend, secured pole positions in both races and well, except
for my mistake on Saturday, things could not have gone better!
