World Series by Renault, Regulations 2005

 
The World Series by Renault will be contested over nine 2-race meetings, except at Monaco (one race only).

30 April–1st May: Zolder (Belgium)
21-22 May: Monaco
4-5 June: Valencia (Spain)
9-10 July: Le Mans (France)
16-17 July: Bilbao (Spain)
6-7 August: Oschersleben (Germany)
10-11 September: Donington (Great-Britain)
1st-2 October: Estoril (Portugal)
22-23 October: Monza (Italy)
> Race 1: between 55 and 95 km, 35 minutes maximum.
> Race 2: between 85 and 140 km, 45 minutes maximum, one pitstop with mandatory change of two tyres.

PRIVATE TESTING

> Prohibited apart from joint testing days run by Renault Sport Technologies.

TYRES

> One set of tyres per car and per five-hour session of joint testing.
> Three sets per 2-race meeting.
> Two sets per single-race meeting (Monaco).
> No warming permitted, except for the tyres changed during the second race.

POINTS

Identical points scale for both championships:

1st: 15 pts
2nd: 12 pts
3rd: 10 pts
4th: 8 pts
5th: 6 pts
6th: 5 pts
7th: 4 pts
8th: 3 pts
9th: 2 pts
10th: 1 pt

Pole position: 1 point - Fastest lap: 1 point

> Drivers (two results discarded)
